How Bagsley works

He joins your WhatsApp
Bagsley sits in your household’s WhatsApp, alongside everyone else who shops. There is no app to download and no new habit to learn. You share an invite link into the chat you already use, and he starts paying attention to anything that belongs on the list.
He keeps the list
Say ‘we’re out of bin bags’ and it goes on the Shopping List. Two people asking for bananas is counted once. Tell him you take semi-skimmed and he remembers it, then never asks again. Mention Friday’s risotto and he adds what it needs.
He loads the basket
When the shop is due, Bagsley loads your supermarket basket with what is on the list. You open it, check it over and pay. He never spends your money for you, and he never places the order himself.
Common questions
Does everyone have to download something?
No. Bagsley lives in WhatsApp, which your household already has. One person joins the waitlist, and everyone else arrives through an invite link pasted into the chat you use anyway.
Which supermarkets does Bagsley work with?
Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Ocado and Aldi are the ones we are working towards. Bagsley is in private beta and is not connected to all of them yet. Tell us who you shop with when you join and we will connect that one sooner.
Does Bagsley ever pay for the shop?
No. He fills the basket and stops there. Reviewing the shop and paying for it stays with you, every single week.
What happens to what we tell him?
Bagsley holds a household’s private life: what you eat, when you are in, what you spend. He treats that as a confidence. We store as little as we can get away with, we do not sell it, and the privacy page lists every field the waitlist keeps.
What does Bagsley cost?
Nothing yet. The waitlist is free, and we will tell you the price before we ask you for it.
